Andrew T. Filak, Jr., M.D. is Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. In this capacity he directs the Office of Medical Education and Chairs the Education Policy Committee. His responsibilities include oversight of the medical school curriculum and student performance. Dr. Filak also serves as the Designated Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education for the University Hospital/University of Cincinnati College of Medicine residency training programs. He directs the Office of Graduate Medical Education and is Associate Chief of Staff at University Hospital.

David Pieper is the Assistant Dean for Continuing Medical Education at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and Executive Director of the Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education (SEMCME).  SEMCME (formerly OHEP) is a consortium of most of the teaching hospitals in Southeast Michigan and it is involved with planning programs for faculty and residents, and helping to coordinate medical student rotations in SEMCME hospitals.

Carrie Eckart, Director of Graduate Medical Education at the University at Buffalo since July 2009, has been working in the field of GME since the completion of her Biomedical Engineering and MBA degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in September 1987.

A graduate of the US Naval Academy, Richard was assigned to several ships and admiral staffs as a Surface Warfare Officer specializing in Operations and Training. After transferring to the Reserves, he started a civilian career in medical education in 1997. Richard worked through the ranks of proprietary schools, eventually becoming the Director of Education. In 2002 he moved to the government sector as the first Manager for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC), the sponsoring institution for military GME programs within Brooke Army Medical Center and the Air Force's Wilford Hall Medical Center. Reporting directly to the Dean/DIO, his main responsibilities include institutional oversight, compliance, and budget development.

Steve Craig, MD

Dr. Craig is a general internist who completed his medical school training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine and his residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO.  He has been involved in internal medicine patient care and medical education in Des Moines, IA since 1983.  A Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Iowa, Dr. Craig currently serves as the Executive Director of the Des Moines Medical Education Consortium and Director of the Transitional Year Residency Program at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  He is the current Chair of the Council of Transitional Year Program Directors.

Katherine Stephens, PhD, MBA, FACHE

Dr. Stephens currently serves as Vice President for Medical Education at Palmetto Health in Columbia, SC.  Her responsibilities include administrative, operational, and financial oversight of graduate medical education and related departments for the multi-hospital system, whose two large hospitals (649 beds and 524 beds) are home to 17 ACGME accredited residencies with 220 residents.  She also oversees the system's ambulatory clinics, with annual patient visits of 100,000.
