Department of Medicine Residency and Administrative Coordinator

The key administrative position under the leadership of the Internal Medicine (IM) Residency Director and the Director of Medicine, interacts with the IM residents and faculty and supervises support staff. Responsibilities include ensuring that accreditation standards are always met, supervision of program support services, communications with residents and faculty, and completion of administrative and accreditation documents. The position includes a lead role in resident recruitment, licensing and immigration issues.

The MCMC IM residency has 62 residents and is fully accredited by the ACGME and AOA. It has received national recognition for educational innovation.

An applicant for this position should possess strong organizational skills, a sound knowledge base of accreditation and regulatory guidelines, coupled with an understanding of the key issues impacting practicing and resident physicians. Strong writing, communication and computer skills are essential, as is the need to function in a diverse and team-focused work environment. Bachelor required, Masters preferred.
