Program Manager Residency Training

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Dean of Medicine's Office in Austin, Texas, currently has an opening for a Program Manager Residency Training. This person will serve as institutional liaison for communication with UTMB and AMEP Program Coordinators, all applicable offices at UTMB Galveston and Seton Family of Hospitals in Austin, the Texas Medical Board, and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

Other job duties include:
  • Be familiar with the relational database theory. Maintaining databases of residents, utilizing MyUTMB and New Innovations Residency Management Suite (RMS), ensuring information is complete, current, and remains confidential. Serve as coordinator and liaison with Seton and UTMB Information Services.

  • Coordinating applications for initial and renewal permits for Texas Medical Board including postgraduate resident permits, and medical licenses.

  • Management of residents' personnel files ensuring compliance with JCAHO and Medicare audits.

  • Coordinate residency appointments and re-appointments through MyUTMB as received from the program coordinators.

  • Coordinate annual orientation sessions for approximately 70 incoming residents including meetings with participants, preparation of packets, and overall on-boarding.

  • Coordinate the annual National Resident Matching Program.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent and two years of related experience. The salary range for this position is from $43,400 to $71,610 annually.
