Director of Faculty Development
Reports to: Associate Dean for Assessment and Educational Development
The Director of Faculty Development will design, implement, and evaluate faculty development processes and curricula to support educational initiatives within the broader effort of promoting medical education, educational research, and scholarship. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position (state funded), within the Department of Assessment and Educational Development.
Specific Job Functions:
- Create and lead faculty development activities for both pre- and post-doctoral programs, on-campus faculty and off-campus preceptors.
- Maintain the WVSOM faculty development website.
- Consult with and support WVSOM's curriculum development.
- Teach as requested
- Travel required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in curriculum design, instructional design, or other education related fields. Experience in medical education preferred. Faculty status negotiable. Master's level candidate with experience may be considered.
