Main Line Health is currently looking to hire a Residency/ Fellow Program Coordinator. This position will be located Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA
Responsibilities
The PROGRAM COORDINATOR is essential to the smooth functioning of any residency/fellowship program. He/she supports, directs and maintains all efforts of the PROGRAM DIRECTOR and the GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION OFFICE in concert with the established organizational chart for the Residency Program and/or the Department.
Duties vary according to ACGME/RRC mandates and the standards of the Certifying Boards of each training program. It is expected that each PROGRAM COORDINATOR maintain familiarity with and a working knowledge of all standards/mandates that impact the training program he/she supports.
It is essential that the PROGRAM COORDINATOR embrace all aspects of the residency/fellowship program. He/she must exhibit the ability to work independently and to move issues to resolve/conclusion. Mature judgment, critical thinking skills and professionalism are requisite.
The PROGRAM COORDINATOR performs duties to ensure RRC accreditation, fulfillment of recruitment processes, all daily operational functions of the training program, and fulfillment of customer service and communication excellence.
In training programs that offer clerkship training experiences for medical students, the residency/fellowship PROGRAM COORDINATOR will support and maintain the requisite elements of the clerkship program. He/she will work closely with the CLERKSHIP DIRECTOR to ensure all objectives of the clerkship are being met.
Education: High school education minimum. College degree preferred or work experience in Graduate Medical Education preferred.
Skills: Musthave strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
Proficiency in relational database programs (Access, Foxpro, etc) a plus
Experience with ERAS, WebADS, FRIEDA etc a plus or strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
Licensures & Certifications: None.
Experience: See "education" above. Prefer individual who can "take efforts to the next level" and who is committed to excellence in the service of the training program.
Hours 7:30-4 but must be able to have some flexibility for early morning and evening meetings.
Requires ability to travel to other MLH facilities locally as well as for travel for training 1-2 times a year.
