The Department of Internal Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA invite applications for Full-time Internal Medicine Residency Program Director.
ARMC is a 433-bed acute care facility operated by the County of San Bernardino. ARMC is a major teaching affiliate of Western University through the OPTI-West consortium and is home to 8 AOA and 2 ACGME accredited residency programs with over 120 housestaff. The internal Medicine residency program began in 2005, and recently expanded to 18 positions.
The successful candidate must have the DO degree from a COCA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine; be board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine; have demonstrated excellence in patient care for a minimum of 5 years; and displayed leadership in clinical teaching with minimum of 3 years experience as teaching faculty in osteopathic graduate medical education (OGME) program or college of osteopathic medicine.
The Program Director (PD) shall be directly responsible to ARMC's Chair of Internal Medicine and Director of Medical Education. The PD would provide oversight of residency curriculum, faculty development and the ambulatory medicine clinic. The PD will also have Faculty Appointment as Vice Chair of Western University's Department if Internal Medicine. The Vice Chair shall be directly responsible to Western's Chair of Internal Medicine and functions to oversee all internal medicine and medical subspecialty clerkships for Western students rotating to the ARMC clinical campus.
