The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education (WCGME) is a community-based 501c3 that currently trains 62 internal medicine residents and 5 fellows in ACGME accredited programs. It administers the teaching programs and the Wright Center Medical Group (WCMG) a 501c3 faculty practice plan which operates 3 clinics and provides hospitalist care and training in 3 Scranton hospitals. WCGME Board initiated the development of The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) and maintains a close relationship by 2 board memberships and academics affiliation. WCGME is the only internal medicine HRSA funded Teaching Health Center (16 residents in 2012-3) and its residents and cardiology fellows train at the Wilkes Barre Veterans Administration Hospital. It also has academic affiliation with 3 Federally Qualified Health Centers.

The President is Chief Executive Officer and ACGME Designated Institutional Official (DIO). Direct reports include: Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief of Staff, Internal Medicine Residency Program Director and Graduate Medical Education Coordinator. The President reports to the board which is comprised of community business and professional leaders.

Applicants should have experience in administration of graduate medical education programs, strong business and leadership skills and vision to develop graduate medical education in the region in order to expand access to high quality medical care in venues that will be self renewing by their educational nature.
