An ideal candidate will assist in developing quality medical education standards by providing implementation and development of educational programs of competency and outcome-based education, and promote culture of continuous improvement. Provide leadership in the design and implementation of educational programs that focus on core competencies and collaborate with faculty to ensure that core competencies are integrated into all teaching programs and documented according to ACGME requirements. Develop initiatives to enhance educational outcomes, including, in collaboration with the executive leadership team, development and oversight of quality and patient safety training and faculty development. Collaborate with clinical departments with upgrades to course syllabi, evaluation tools, and teaching methods. Develop and evaluate educational resources for faculty including teaching labs, equipment, web sites, computer base testing, and other resources as appropriate.
Position requires a Ph.D. Degree in instructional design, curriculum development, education or other related field of study from an accredited college/university. Extensive work experience in a post-secondary health academic environment required. Strong working knowledge of ACGME accreditation standards and RRC guidelines. Experience working with standardized patient programs in healthcare setting. Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as proficiency in manuscript preparation, data analysis and grant writing (preferred).
