Announcement from AHME President, Charles C. Daschbach MD MPH To members and friends of AHME: Change is never easy...for an association, for its leadership, or for its membership. But, change is inevitable and necessary. That is why it is difficult for me, as your president, to let you know that Margie Kleppick, our Executive Director for the past seven years, will be leaving that post to dedicate herself full-time to her growing and successful GME consulting firm, Partners in Medical Education, Inc. As a 25+ year veteran in GME, and with AHME, Margie is saddened to leave a post from which she has been able to contribute to the financial health and growth of AHME. But, now more than ever, her national clients need her expertise and her firm needs her leadership as they experience continued growth. Margie has agreed to remain as the Executive Director while we, with Dr. Brian Little serving as Chair, begin the search for a replacement. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Executive Division, our other Divisions, Councils and Committees...and every individual AHME member, I could not begin to catalogue or list all that Margie has done for AHME to this point. As a grass roots member, founder of CADME and council chair, division chair, president-elect, president, and executive director, Margie's contributions will leave a legacy that current and future leadership and members will benefit from. And, in recognition of that legacy, we are planning a special presentation at the AHME Spring Educational Institute in San Diego. We hope to see all of you there. Charles C.
